Spring Ready Hair: How to!

If you’re loving the three twisted buns I posted yesterday as much as I do, you will be happy to know that I found the how to!

Thanks Cup of Jo for putting together this fab tutorial!

Here’s how from Cup of Jo:

1. This style is so easy, it’s laughable. Day-old hair is best (which is true for most hairstyles, since it’s easier to work with hair that has a little dirt in it).

2. Divide your hair into three equal parts and quickly spray each section with a little hairspray to help give it hold. Let the hairspray set for a couple seconds, and then lightly comb it out.

3. Take the section on your right side, and twist your hair all the way down to the end. You want to twist counter-clockwise, toward your face. Wrap the right section in on itself, just like you’re making a little bun. Let some of the hair stick out, it’s ok (you don’t want them to look like Princess Leia buns).

4. Pin the right bun in place. I like to use these mini bobby pins, since they’re easier to hide and they’re coated in rubber so they hold your hair better.

5. Next, twist the middle section clockwise and pin. Then twist the left section clockwise and pin.

6. Spray the three buns with a little more hairspray, and you’re done!

FWH + Crystal Clear Imagery: Styled E-Session!

I am so excited to be sharing this with you all! Crystal (my fab-tab photog sister) from Crystal Clear Imagery and I got together and styled this fun and flirty e-session for this absolutely stunning couple. Kudos to Kim and Kevin for rocking this shoot, putting up with the butt-cold temps and working it like a couple of champs!

Check out the images Crystal captured of these two love birds. Also see our feature on A Million Little Details this afternoon by Crystal herself!

Seriously, styled shoots are all the rage and we totally know why! They rock!

Add some embellishments, colours, and sweet little props and you have yourselves a cool little mag-worthy photo spread of you and your hunny! Perfect way to kick-start your wedding theme!

Ruche: Out with the old, in with the new!

It’s that time of year where my closet is in desperate need of a overhaul. There’s always something so exciting about packing away the winter wear and breaking out the beautiful pastels! Seriously though, this season transition is making me smile. When it comes to fashion I like simple, pretty, soft and girly– which this Spring season is all about.

I absolutely love vintage inspired, floral print, flirty cuts, ruffle fronts, cute, fun and not too over-the-top dramatic. I dream about the day when I have a little babe to dress in retro inspired, ruffly,  pastel dresses.

Check out these pretty little numbers from Ruche. One of my fav little online shops of the season!

And for the baby girls. Tea Princess… straight out of the Oz.

Happy shopping! ♥

Happy St. Patty’s Day!

I love when my hubby asks for me to make something special for him…. so last night when he requested some special St. Patty’s day cupcakes for him and his work buddies (this is why I love him… he just does what he does… no questions asked) I couldn’t say no!

Here is a pic of my family-fav rolled sprinkle cupcakes! There isn’t a family event without these puppies in tow!

Happy St. Patty’s Day everyone!! ♥

Tori Spelling: Designer Extraordinaire!

My love for all things Tori started back a few years ago. I believe it was around the time she had just hit it big on her reality show Tori & Dean: Inn Love!

Tori has impeccable taste when it comes to throwing a fab-tab party! I had a blast watching Tori explore the art of event design via her reality shows… and I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to watch Tori & Dean tackle the world of wedding planning on their newest venture Tori & Dean sTORIbook Weddings this Spring.

So what would an event enthusiast/Hollywood Mom do to celebrate little Liam’s 4th birthday this past weekend? Well throw a huge Ghostbusters themed bash of course!

Love the details! Tori posted these pics on her Twitter page!

I’m already starting to feel sorry for my Mike… I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of paint, paper and helium in his Daddy days to come…
